While it may sound impossible, it’s true that distant healing is one of the methods used in Reiki therapy to heal and it actually works. This article will explain the main point of distant healing and how it is done. It is widely known that the energy flows through the palm of the hands. Well, it actually flows through the chakras, a place where the energy flows. In general, there are 7 major chakras and 144 minor chakras in our body, including the one at the palm of hands. There are many Reiki schools and each of them may differ one to another, especially their techniques, and the system of the energy used.

There is actually not much difference between distant healing and conventional Reiki therapy. Distant healing works across distance and will not affect the effectiveness of the therapy. Normally the distant healing is done by using the energy ball which is first drawn in the air by hand or finger and later is sent directly to the targeted person taking only seconds to reach the person.

The using of the symbols here is merely as the way to access the energy and not related to any ideology, and each symbol has its own function (the symbol of the energy ball may be different from one Reiki school to another).
